Privacy Policy
This page explains, in plain language, what personal information KKR Khalid Khan Restaurant collects through this website, why we collect it, and how it's used. If anything here isn't clear, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
What we collect, and why
We only collect information you give us directly, as part of using a specific feature of the site:
- Placing an order — your name, phone number, delivery address, and optionally your email, so we can prepare, deliver, and contact you about your order.
- Making a reservation — your name, phone number, preferred date/time/party size, and optionally your email, so our team can confirm your table by phone or WhatsApp.
- Creating an account — your name, email, and password, so you can log in, view your order history, and earn reward points. Passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and are never visible to us in plain text.
- Entering the Photo of the Month contest — your name, email, social media handle, and the photo/caption you submit, so we can run the monthly contest and, only with your submission as consent, feature the winning entry on our website and social media.
We don't collect anything beyond what a given feature needs, and we don't ask for payment card details through this website.
Our website assistant (Ask KKR)
The chat assistant on our website answers questions about our menu, timings, location, orders and reservations. It is powered by artificial intelligence (AI) running on Cloudflare’s AI service, the same company that hosts our website. Its answers can occasionally be wrong — for anything important, please call us.
What you type (and voice notes, which are converted to text) is sent to that AI service to produce a reply. Voice recordings are not stored. Your chat is kept only while you are using it: it is deleted automatically 30 minutes after your last message, or straight away when you start a new chat. While a chat is open, our staff may read it if you ask to speak with a person. Questions the assistant couldn’t answer are kept, without any names or phone numbers, so we can improve its answers. Please don’t share card numbers or passwords in the chat.
Cookies and local storage
The site stores a few small pieces of information directly in your browser — such as your login session, your cart contents, and your language preference — purely so the site works smoothly across visits. This stays on your device and isn't used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers. A small number of trusted service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run the website and ordering system:
- Supabase, who host our database and manage account logins.
- Cloudflare, who host the website itself and help keep it secure.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to send an order or reservation request via WhatsApp, that conversation happens on WhatsApp's own platform, under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep order, reservation, and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to run the business (for example, honouring reward points or resolving a dispute about a past order). You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time — see contact details below.
Your choices
- You can browse the menu and read about the restaurant without creating an account or giving us any personal information.
- You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or request it be deleted.
- Photo contest entries are only made public if you win, and only because submitting an entry is itself the consent to feature it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change to how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
